Konda, known to its speakers as Yabin-Konda, is spoken by 500 people (1987) living in three villages, Konda, Mitimani and Ginuni, in the southwest portion of the Bird's Head peninsula in the Sorong Selatan regency of Indonesia's West Papua province (Voorhoeve 1975: 34, Berry and Berry 1987: 92, 98, de Vries 2004: 143.)
