Situation
Keijar (Keder) is spoken by 374 people (2004) living in two villages, Keder Lama (“old Keder”) and Keder Baru (“new Keder”) along the north coast of the Pantai Timur district of Sarmi regency in Indonesia's Papua province. Keijar is the name speakers use for their villages and their language (Lee and Wambaliau 2004: 2-3, 4.)
